Best New Apps for Kids and Families

Zap Zap Math offers free intergalactic practice with a wide array of math skills from Kindergarden through grade six.  With 19 games in 9 topics, the app covers several Common Core Math Standards for elementary school.

Duolingo is a great way to learn a new language!  Earn points for correct answers, race againt the clock and level up!  Follows the learning principles of Rosetta Stone in a kid-friendly game-like app.

Renegade Buggies, a free app for iOS and Android, helps children and parents gain financial literacy skills together.  The app, developed in partnership with the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, was named Instructional Game of the Year (2015).
