THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL BOOK SALE

The Friends of the Northborough Library would like to thank you all for a wonderful Book Sale. We’ve had such wonderful donations throughout the year that we amassed over 10,000 books, DVDs and CDs for our Sale—our biggest sale ever! So, thank you to all our book donors, to our 40+ amazing volunteers who set up and ran the sale and to our friends who turned up to buy a few of the books! Our next event will be the Basket Raffle, which will run from May 4th (at Noon) until May 19th. We are now accepting the donation of either completed baskets or items for a basket. Our next Book Sale will be at Applefest in September. Meanwhile, please visit our expanded Book Sale shelf upstairs in the internet café for a wonderful selection of fiction, non-fiction and teen books.

Thank you to our volunteers: Holly, Stephanie, Sandra, Lisa H, Lisa G, Ellie, Judy, Mary McC, Mary A, Mary Mur, Pat L, Pat C, Melanie, Diane, Fran, Mike K, John, Riley, Alex, Billy, Mike M, Jean, Sue W, Sue S, Jackie, Josh, Joanne, Ellen P, Heather, Jean, Charlene, Ann Marie, Olivia, Christine, Karen, Joanne, Angela, Rachael, Lara, Claire, Carol, Charlie, and Ellen C.

Internet Cafe Book Sale Shelf EXPANDED AGAIN!

We’ve swapped out the space for the upstairs Book Sale Shelf with the library’s VHS collection, almost doubling our shelf space! Look for the Book Sale Shelf upstairs in the Internet Cafe.

We have an excellent selection of fiction and non-fiction, softcover and hardcover. There is also a shelf devoted solely to YA titles. There are no children's books upstairs. All books upstairs are 50 cents each. Please pay downstairs at the circulation desk. We'll continue to stock both the shelf downstairs and the larger location upstairs. Both locations are stocked by the Friends of the Library, which continues to accept donations of books in good condition year ‘round.

If you don't know where the internet cafe is, go upstairs, turn left and walk as far as the rotunda, then turn left. It's in the old Gale Building, opposite the Mystery Room, with windows overlooking Route 20. Have a cup of coffee or cocoa while you are there, just $1. Choose and pay for your self-serve packet at the Reference Desk.
