Internet Cafe Book Sale Shelf IMPROVED!
We’ve made a ‘business’ decision to improve the quality of books out on the Book sale shelves!
We admit it, we used to save our best stuff for the book sales. However, in order to reduce the storage in the library and in order to have a more steady stream of income for the library, much more appealing books will be out on the Book Sale shelves starting NOW! Look for the Book Sale Shelves upstairs in the Internet Café and near the main door on the lower floor.
The shelf devoted solely to YA titles remain, and the Children’s books downstairs will be improved. There are no children's books upstairs. All books upstairs are $1 each; Children’s books are 50 cents each. Please pay downstairs at the circulation desk. We'll continue to stock both the shelf downstairs and the larger location upstairs. Both locations are stocked by the Friends of the Library, which continues to accept donations of books in good condition year ‘round.
If you don't know where the internet cafe is, go upstairs, turn left and walk as far as the rotunda, then turn left. It's in the old Gale Building, opposite the Mystery Room, with windows overlooking Route 20. Have a cup of coffee or cocoa while you are there (we just ask for a $2 donation.) Ask for your self-serve packet at the Reference Desk.
ANNUAL CHILDREN'S BOOK & MEDIA SALE
We will have a wide range of children’s books available including picture books, board books, first reader and intermediate reader books, chapter books, parenting books and plenty of non-fiction. In addition there will be children's audiobooks, DVDs, VHS videos, and computer software. It's a great resource for teachers, day cares, and parents. We hope you will stop by!
Donations of books and media are greatly appreciated. Please drop off inside the library in the front conference room.
Volunteers are needed to help set up, clean up and take shifts during the sales. Any amount of time is greatly appreciated. Please contact Lisa Hodge at email@example.com if you are available to help out.
We also have an online schedule where you can sign up for shifts: http://vols.pt/aMXWH7
