The Friends of the Library will be holding their Annual Basket Raffle Monday, May 5th - Friday, May 16th.

Stop by the lobby and take your chance on a beautiful basket and help support the library. Proceeds from this event are used to pay for books and materials, museum passes, children's programs and many other items.

The Friends are currently taking donations of completed baskets or items for baskets. Donations can be dropped off to the library at any time. We are also looking for volunteers to acquire items and work the raffle. Please contact Lisa Hodge at lisabhodge@yahoo.com or 508-397-8456 with any questions or if you would like to volunteer.

The Friends of the Library would like to thank the 35 book sale volunteers for helping at the 2014 Library Book Sale.  With their hard work we raised about $5,000 for the library.  These funds are used for the summer reading programs (children’s, teens and adult), for many of the museum passes, for paying the library pages who shelve books, for the library website, and for funding many other parts of the library programs not covered by town funding.

Of course, many thanks also go to the hundreds of patrons who donated the 10,000+ books in our sale!  We would also like to thank Stop & Shop for donating the bags used in the bag sale and for coordinating the transport of many of the leftover books to US troops serving abroad.
