Math Mayhem -- Gummi Worm Measuring

Foam Cup Meltdowns

Children will be able to melt down a small cup, and use the goo left behind to create a small statue!  We will be wearing safety goggles and rubber gloves, and our only "chemical" is nail polish remover.

 A special storytime for our littlest patrons.  This is an early literacy program for children birth through 2 years old.  Join us for a story, songs, rhymes, bouncing, and fingerplays!  We will be using musical instruments and puppets to further children’s early learning skills!  For children ages birth through age 2.  No registration is necessary.

Celebrate your summer reading accomplishments by signing up for our Summer Reading Finale Show!  Join Craig Harris with Drum Away the Blues!  This is a fun, multicultural, participatory concert for music lovers of all ages!  We will be enjoying some ice-cream during this wonderful show!  For kids that have logged any online summer reading!  All ages are welcome and registration will begin July 21st!

Worcester Revolution of 1774 Book Discussion

Join in the county-wide read commemorating the Worcester Revolution of 1774.  Northborough was one of the 37 towns whose militiamen marched into Worcester and forced British authority out of Worcester County months before the battles at Lexington and Concord.  Read all about this event in The First American Revolution by Ray Raphael, and join in the discussion facilitated by Library Trustee Jack Sharp.  Copies of the book are now available at the check out desk.

The 2014 book for the One School, One Book, One Community has been chosen by a committee of Algonquin Teens with input from the community.  The book is Unwind by Neal Shusterman.

The Northborough and Southborough libraries will be hosting the event planning committee and would like to invite the community to participate.
