Welcome to the Northborough Free Library!
Established in 1868, the library has a long and proud history of serving the educational, informational and recreational needs of local residents. We are always striving to meet your needs and we welcome your feedback about all of our programs and services. The newly expanded and renovated library opened in March 2009 and we are continuing to grow as demand for our services grows. Whether you are a longtime resident or a more recent resident, you will find that our programs and services offer something for everyone. Come and explore your hometown library!
Our Children’s Library staff offer a wonderful array of programs for toddlers, children and parents, including Mother Goose on the Loose, On My Own Storytime, Toddler Time, Together We Can Play, Chatterbooks Book Club, Music Mashup, STEAM Club, 5th Grade Book Club and more! Your child can practice their reading skills by reading to Finnegan, Kodiak and Athena, three lovable dogs who love to be read to! For kids in grades 6 – 12, in addition to a comfortable place for teens to meet and gather, we offer a Manga & Novel Book Club, a Middle School Book Club and a Teen Advisory Group that helps plan teen events and helps the Teen Librarian choose materials for the Teen Room. For adults, we offer a number of monthly book groups, in addition to special programs like the Art Therapy series that is happening this fall. English language learners can practice their language skills by joining one of our English Conversation Circles, which are being offered mornings and evenings. More children’s teen and adult programs are being planned for the holidays and during the winter, so please be sure to check the event calendar on our website in order to find out what’s happening.
Whether you are looking for the latest bestsellers in fiction and non-fiction, a new eBook, eAudio or eVideo recording, or a museum pass to one of nearly 20 museums, you will find it here.
